Planning a trip to Disneyland Paris

Disneyland can offer an unforgettable magical experience. Family memories that can last a lifetime. You do although need to plan your day, don't just turn up and play it by ear.

Those who visit Disneyland in Paris will be treated with not just one but two theme parks side by side. Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studio Park. Both parks have separate entrances and tickets can be purchased individually or together as a package.

The best advice I can give you is to plan your day well in advance. Every Disneyland around the world is at least a full and exhausting day out. Take a look at the website, understand the layout of the two parks and what time live shows are on. Especially take note of the closing times. In Paris, the Studio Park closes at 8 pm and the Disneyland Park closes at 11 pm with their trademark fireworks display.

Unplanned trips can cost you time, and time is the most valuable commodity when visiting Disneyland. The most common mistake is being caught in line for your favourite ride when a live show is about to start. You'll often see people darting around in a last-minute attempt to make a particular show or parade.

Disneyland publishes maps and schedules of the location of the rides, events and parades that take place during the day and evening. To start, take time to look at what live shows you want to see and where they are located. Once you've decided this, you can work around visiting the different themes within the park. If you think you can do every show and every ride in one day, you might be disappointed so it's important to prioritise.

Another consideration is where to dine. Think about this in advance. Take a look at the options and put your diet on hold and take the simple quick options. Understandably these parks are very busy and it's not uncommon to have to wait extended periods for food. This also extends to rides, it's not uncommon for waiting times to reach an hour or more for popular rides. These delays will sometimes be signposted with waiting times. Have a think about whether you can afford to wait an hour on one ride or if it's best to move on to something else.

It's not a trip to Disneyland without seeing the main parade. There is just something special about seeing the joy on the kid's faces, kids young and old. Take a look at the map and plan options on where it's best to view the parade. If you've got small children then maybe arrive a bit earlier so they can stand in front.

Disneyland is a magical experience. It's a joy you should all experience once in a lifetime. For more information on booking tickets direct and planning your day at Disneyland Paris click here.
